Don’t Marry Women Who Cannot Cook, If Not, You’re Heading for Trouble — Pastor Adeboye Warns Men

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has advised men to be mindful of certain qualities when choosing a life partner, stressing that domestic and hospitable skills should not be overlooked.

Speaking during a sermon, Adeboye cautioned against marrying a woman who lacks the ability to cook or show hospitality, warning that such a decision could lead to challenges in the home. According to him, “Don’t marry a girl who cannot cook, because if she can’t cook and be hospitable, you’re heading for trouble.”

He further emphasized that even spiritual confirmation should not override practical considerations in marriage. “If a prophet says this is your wife, say thank you very much. Keep her,” he said, suggesting that individuals should apply personal judgment despite prophetic declarations.

Adeboye also linked his advice to biblical expectations of marriage, noting that qualities such as intelligence and hospitality are important in a spouse.
