Actress Doris Ogala has declared her assurance in becoming the next governor of Abia State, describing her ambition as a “divine mandate” and expressing confidence in her chances of victory.

Ogala made the declaration during an appearance on the Clarity Zone podcast, where she was asked why she was so certain of winning the governorship election.

Responding, the actress said she was convinced of her victory because she believed she was better than the other contenders.
“Call to come and save my people, is a divine mandate. I will be the next governor of Abia State, nothing is going to stop me.”

When OAP Nedu asked, “Why are you so sure that you’re going to win?” Ogala replied, “I am so sure, and I know it, because I’m better than all of them.”

The actress also criticised the current administration in Abia State, claiming that residents were still experiencing challenges with electricity supply despite improvements in some areas.
“I have been in Abia for three good months, okay? No light. I sleep in my family house, I don’t have light. I can tell you that this present government has done nothing, and I will tell you because I know.”

She further maintained that the state does not have 24-hour electricity, while acknowledging claims about improved roads around Ariaria.
“So there is no light, 24-hour light in Abia.”
