Nigerian comedian AY Makun has sparked reactions online after making a series of cryptic remarks during a performance at an event, seemingly suggesting that other people could also be caught up in whatever situation he was referring to.

While entertaining the audience, AY said, “This one Wey I talk now go just trend. Dem no dey waste time. Other people go talk am o, dem go free them, but my own, e go enter.”

He then brought up legendary singer 2Baba, initially describing him as his neighbour before quickly correcting himself.
“Even 2Baba sef… 2Baba. Na me say 2Baba na my neighbour. No, sorry. Na my former neighbour, before dem relocate am go Benin through Abuja. Yeah,” he said, before making another cryptic statement about the singer potentially returning.

“But the way things dey go, some people go like say make e join me back,” AY added.
He went on to tell the audience that he was observing the situation closely, adding, “Ah dey… Ah dey observe. Ah dey observation.”

AY then appeared to suggest that whatever consequences he was referring to would not affect him alone.
“Una feel say na only me go dey alone. All of us go collect. You understand wetin I dey talk abi?” he asked.
