LAGOS — Residents of Ayinke Street, Shogunle, in the Oshodi area of Lagos, are counting their losses after a section of the perimeter fence at the Sam Ethnan Air Force Base collapsed during a heavy downpour on Sunday, causing severe flooding across the community. "Before now, the water would pass through, and within five minutes, you wouldn't even know it had rained. The destruction has left many families displaced, with electronics, furniture, and essential household items destroyed. Affected community members are now calling on the Lagos State Government to intervene, provide urgent relief materials, and assist in clearing the massive amount of debris that continues to obstruct the road.
