I finally came across the answer on a mac, not a vmware site. I removed the cdrom. Then I went to sound, network adapter, and usb and unchecked Connect At Startup on all of them.

What issue? GPO settings are mostly just registry values. You can check the registry to ensure the value you want is there. Long story short, we have a single mapped network drive that will most of the time show as disconnected with a red x on it, even though it works still.

Yes, as long as the Horizon Client is pointing to a Connection Server that is still up, it will work. Technically after installation, all Connection Servers are the same. I thought if my primary is down i will still be able to access published apps and desktop using connection server replica, regardless of what connrction server ip address i input during installation of horizon agent.
